Synopsis

The Slaves follows the artist Patrick Faigenbaum while preparing his exhibition for the Louvre Museum of art. As one of the first living artist to be invited by the Louvre for a photography exhibition, Patrick chooses Michael Angelo sculptures The Slaves as a main subject for his exhibition, augmented by the Louvre museum as the artist imaginary living space and the closing down of a classic Parisian coat boutique that the artist once worked at as a young man.

The film take a twist on the subject of the exhibition The Slaves to imagine us all living as slaves to our passion, the artist is a slave to his subject, the film maker is a slave to his film.
